Description

From Tuscany to Tokaj, BBQ to birthday, $11 to $3000, the award-winning selection at Perry’s Fine Wines & Liquors in Provincetown has a bottle for every palate, occasion and budget.

For this auction we’ve picked a selection of 4 of our favorite bottles:

1. Chateau du Trignon – Viognier, Cotes du Rhone, France 2024- "The Rhone valley has been a well-known wine growing region since 125 BC when the Romans planted the vines and built low walls protecting the terraces. While white wines in this area are normally a blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Marsanne, Roussanne, Bourboulenc and Viognier, this Chateau has chosen to show Viognier in a pure expression alone. Trying this aromatic grape in its singular expression could help you identify it in your next bottle of blended Rhone white.
Full bodied aromas of apricot, pear, and fresh flowers. Dried fruit and roasted nuts add admirable length to the palate.
How to Enjoy: Drink young and have it with dishes with mushrooms. The umami of the mushroom pairs wonderfully with the strong aromas of this wine. "

2. Domaine du Gros ’Noré - Bandol Rosé 2023, Bandol, France- "In the past 30 years Alain and his brother Guy have grown their own brand to become a leading contender in Bandol. Appellation law requires at least 50% Mouvedre in each blend, Alain uses up to 80%. This gives more power and concentration to the final assemblage. All grapes are hand-harvested, and the wine is produced and bottled on the estate.
Full notes of peach, apricot and red fruits, this is a wine that comes over as incredibly deep and complex, yet is endowed with a finesse that we absolutely fell in love with.
HOW TO ENJOY: We've always loved Bandol with food; pair with pan fried scallops or grilled white fish."

3. Domaine Regis Jouan- Menetou-Salon, Loire Valley, France 2023-"You know of Sancerre, join us in Menetou-Salon, which is just west of that renowned region in the Loire. Same Sauvignon Blanc with the bright citrus, lively pome fruit and minerality you expect with Sancerre. Fruit is picked from vines averaging 25 years.
Distinctly fruity with a complex and strong structure. Aged in steel casks to protect its freshness and bright acidity. The flavors are concentrated and refined.
How to Enjoy: Drink with grilled shellfish or a fresh bright salad of cucumbers and tomatoes to celebrate the end of the summer garden bounty."

4. Hatzidakis Winery - "Rosette" Dry Rosé 2023, Santorini, Greece- "Hatzidakis Winery was founded in 1997 and holds the first vineyards in Santorini to be certified organic. The winery is built into a cool, dark cave where they make mineral-driven, yet balanced and fresh wines which are emblematic of the volcanic terroir of the island.
Made from an indigenous grape, Mandilaria, this rosé is bright fuchsia in color with aromas of strawberries and raspberry. Elegant, fresh and juicy on the palate, this has a stunning saleine, mineral finish.
HOW TO ENJOY: This is perfect for those hot summer days, either by itself or paired with seafood, or a Greek salad."
