Artist:Chesley Pearman is descended from several generations in the Mississippi Delta and comes from a family that encouraged him from childhood to pursue writing, music, and painting.  He has traveled around a good bit over much of his life, living and working in various places and various jobs in this country and in Europe.  Encouraged by Delta artist Duff Durrough, he returned to The Delta and started painting some years ago with Duff, Sammy Britt, and Gerald Deloach.  He says "All painting is experimentation to me and I wouldn't necessarily call my painting any one style.  I've had many influences, ranging from writers and poets to musicians and classical painters as well as more contemporary painters, photographers, and filmmakers."
