Skenes is a pitching sensation, winning the Rookie of the Year Award in 2024 and is the favorite to win the National League Cy Young Award this year. Skenes was selected as the starting pitcher for both the 2024 and 2025 All-Star Games. When he started the 2024 All-Star Game, he was the first rookie to accomplish this feat.
