Artist's Statement:

It is my belief that art should provoke thought. It should give the viewer the motivation to feed into the thought process not only what they are seeing, but what they can contribute from their own experiences. It is an interaction between the work of art and the individualism of each person. My work is very abstract in nature, but suggests landscape or seascape. I've been told that my paintings have a calming affect, are non-confrontational and Zen-like. They are intended to be peaceful and thought provoking. I believe that they are energized by the movement of water, paint and sand during the process of painting.
