Ray Hassard grew up in the New York City area and attended Pratt Institute. In 1985 he moved to Cincinnati with his partner. Ray and a friend recently spent 6 weeks painting in India--see the January 2006 issue of American Artist Magazine. Ray is an active member of the Cincinnati Art Club, Ohio Plein Air Society, Pastel Society of America and the Indiana Plein Air Painters. He is represented in Columbus by Sharon Weiss Gallery
