Alvar Sunol Munoz-Ramos was born in 1935 near Barcelona. Before graduating from Bellas Artes, the Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona acquired his work for its permanent collection. Since 1963, Alvar has exhibited regularly throughout the world. His work was presented at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts and the Wichita Art Museum. Museums in Japan have purchased his lithographs for their permanent collections. Alvar continues to create artwork in oil, lithography, watercolors and bronze.
