As a young girl, Diane Hansen studied art with a French Countess who had stimulated her interest in art by exposing her to all things aristocratic and European. After attending Arizona State University, Diane returned to her native state of Washington and became captivated by the Northwest glass movement, enrolling in the Pilchuck Glass School in 1991. She has had her work exhibited both nationally and internationally, with one of her most recent shows being at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma. Her work has been featured in the publications of Ladies Home Journal, Southwest Art Magazine, American Style Magazine and others while her work is featured in both public and private collections including The Broadway Grill, Seattle, and The Boeing Company. Diane credits the Comtess de La Lannae for her current inspiration. She currently works out of her studio in downtown Tacoma.
