Optrel's new intelligent sensor technology automatically adjusts the shade setting of the 9-13 ADF, while welding, as the light intensity of the arc changes. This process is completely hands-free! The welder no longer has to interrupt their work to adjust the shade level of their welding helmet. The Orion takes the guess work out of choosing the correct shade setting by doing it for you quickly and accurately. A sliding switch allows the user to change from automatic adjustment mode to manual adjustment mode. The external potentiometer knob allows fine tuning of the shade level (+/- 1) in automatic mode, and selection of variable shade levels 9-13 in manual mode. The Orion also has a sensitivity control knob and a delay switch and comes with a 2 year warranty.
