"My paintings explore my ongoing interest in the patterns of calligraphic shapes and textile weaves. In my most recent series, I have severely limited the painting process by eliminating color and repeating loop shapes in a variety of size and arrangements. Despite these restrictions, the series evokes a spectrum of associations ranging from elegant to playful."
