"Freedom's Cry" by Dan Christ shows an eagle soaring across the Hawk Mountain landscape.
As a native of the area, bird watching has always been a favorite past time of Dan's. He spent some time photographing for the perfect lighting, sky, and autumn colors that would invoke the awesome sensations one experiences on Hawk Mountain's North Lookout. After September 11, Dan says a new twist entered the picture - to capture the God-given freedom we have in America and the national symbol of that freedom. Dan attempted to observe the North Lookout from a bird's eye view, soaring with the eagle over the ridge to experience that freedom. Freedom's Cry is the culmination of that effort.
