Special Instructions

Yiddish theater is part of Conductor Michael Tilson Thomas' (MTT) heritage. His grandparents, Boris and Bessie Thomashefsky, were Eastern European actors and entrepreneurs who helped launch New York's Yiddish Theater and became its biggest stars. Experience the program that debuts at Carnegie Hall in April, as MTT hosts an evening that blends klezmer and ragtime in songs giving voice to European hopes and American dreams.
