Description

A 1 hour phone coaching session with two time Iron Man Champion Tim DeBoom.

The 2001 season ended just as Tim DeBoom had wanted, as the Ironman Hawaii champion. The defending champion of the sport's pinnacle event, Tim continues to improve.

As an amateur, DeBoom showed signs of great thing to come. He gained notoriety as the first amateur of any age group to compete in both the ITU World Triathlon Championship in Wellington, New Zealand and the same event in Manchester, England. Tim also earned the 1993 and 1994 Amateur National Champion in addition to being named Triathlon Magazine's Amateur of the Year.

DeBoom turned pro in 1995 and had a top ten finish in that years Hawaii Ironman. He also became the first US finisher in the ITU World Championship in Cancun, Mexico. His breakout year took place in 1999 when he finished 3rd in the Hawaii Ironman event, for which Triathlete magazine gave him their Performance of the Year Award, he also took third in the Pan American Games.

Tim has always been fascinated with the body and how it works. In college, he graduated with B.S. degrees in exercise physiology and anatomy. His original plan was to go to medical school upon graduating college but his success in competitions provided him more lucrative opportunities.
