The RCA ColorTrak F20640BC is a 20-inch stereo "bedroom" color TV that is housed in an attractive black cabinet with top-rounded edges.
The set features a dark glass Optimum Contrast Screen and includes a 181-channel tuner.
Its trilingual (English, French, and Spanish) on-screen menus and displays are clear and easy to use.
The F20640BC also features an on-screen clock, sleep and alarm timer, and a headphone jack.
Picture quality is very good. Audio is piped through two front-firing speakers. Stereo sound quality is very good for a small set and enhanced by its proprietary XS Stereo circuitry, which makes the sound imaging appear larger than it is.
The set offers one set of A/V input jacks and one pair of audio output jacks.
New this year is a 36-button unified remote that will also control RCA VCRs. What makes this remote pretty neat is its illuminated "Nite Glo" keys. Channel up/down and volume up/down can be backlit with the touch of a button on the side of the remote. That's very handy, especially in a bedroom setting with very little or no lighting.
