Improve your swing, stance and score when you enjoy a one-hour private golf lesson with OJ Amaya! O.J. Amaya first took up the game while in college. He was immediately captivated by the game and the challenge it presented. His degree of interest was so strong that he left the accounting profession to pursue a career in golf.

A graduate of the San Diego Golf Academy, O.J. began his PGA Apprenticeship in 1992 at Eastlake Country Club in Chula Vista, CA. In June of 1996, O.J. became a Class A PGA Member and returned to the San Diego Golf Academy as a full time instructor.

O.J. is fluent in Spanish, a Professional Club Fitter® and recently worked as a Certified Training Professional for Henry-Griffitts, the company that pioneered custom fit golf clubs. As a Certified Training Professional, O.J. traveled throughout the Southwest United States training other golf instructors in the art and science of teaching and club fitting.

O.J.'s approach to teaching golf can be summarized as follows: "My goal is to deliver confidence and to strengthen each student's swing. As an instructor, the most rewarding thing for me is to see a smile on a student's face who just hit a great golf shot."
