This sculpture is one of the seven offered through AT&T designed to be mounted on the Showcase Olympic Commemorative Telephone or to be collected and displayed separately. The sculptor, Marcel Jovine, immigrated from Italy in the 1940's. Jovine was commissioned after he created the official 1980 Winter Olympics commemorative medallion. The 7 sculptures by Jovine were designed to capture the Olympic history, celebrating the XXIII Olympiad in Los Angeles. The sculpture is bounded pewter and is 6 1/8"X 6 ¼"X 11 ¼".
