The New England Aquarium was one of the first aquariums in the world to create a Conservation Department and to fully define an appropriate and expanded conservation mission for aquariums. Now called the Global Marine Programs Division, our mission is to address aquatic conservation problems, locally and globally, by creating and linking community efforts with research, policy, and public awareness.
