Patrick J. Doliny is the current CIO (Chief Information Officer) for the Broward Sheriff's Office. He oversees the design, implementation and maintenance of BSO's computer systems and non-emergency telephone equipment for more than 6,000 users; In addition to providing customary technical assistance for BSO, BIRM's (Bureau of Information Resource Management) 60-person staff plans and installs information systems that allow regional information sharing, eliminate repetitive tasks, reduce agency costs and continually improve the information-sharing infrastructure.
BIRM also administers BSO's Records Department, with 60 employees handling nearly 40,000 public information requests annually from law enforcement organizations and private citizens.
Mr. Doliny is also the former VP/Director of Technology Microsoft Corporation's Latin America's Internet Division. His duties where among others all areas of Information Technology, Network Infrastructure and all internal Application Development, Integration, Network Infrastructure, and Implementation. In addition, Mr. Doliny was the lead technologist for Nextel International's "MiNextel Wireless Project" Servicing four counties in Latin America.
Mr. Doliny held numerous key technology positions at Equitrac Corporation, AnswerThink Consulting Group, and Vitas Health Care. He was also Vice President and Co-Owner of Advanced Business Machine (a technology integration company with focus in Government Technology solution). He was also responsible for the network and application infrastructure for many domestic and international companies including, US Robotics, Goya International Foods, and some private companies such as Bal Harbour Shops, and Cornerstone Equities. He developed several product and implemented several ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions. His focus on ERP and Financial Application gained him notoriety in the multi-company, multi-sets of books and multi-currency financial implementations. Mr. Doliny has been a major influence and leader in the technology arena throughout his years in the Information Technology career.
Mr. Doliny is an honorably discharged veteran of the US arms forces -- He served in the USMC United State Marine Corp between the years of 1982 and 1988 both active and inactive duties. During which he received the highest accommodation from having served in the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) He received the Navy Accommodation award and the US Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Doliny Rose Quickly through the ranks.
Mr. Doliny is a graduate of Florida International University where he received his Bachelors of Art Degree in Business Management; he then went on to achieve his MBA in e-Business from University of Miami, where he focused in technology management. Mr. Doliny is an active member of the local IMA (Institute of Management Accountant, The CIO Council of South Florida and has been an active voice for the Digital Divide.
Because of his family values and his dedication to South Florida as a metropolitan Mecca, Mr. Doliny sat on various local and Community boards to include the Metro Dade Downtown Development Association, and WLRN bringing culture and education to the inner city. In addition to Mr. Doliny's career growth in the Technology and Information System industry, he has also conducted several public speaking engagements, has sat on several Technology panel and taught Project Management and Leadership and Development at the Wayne Huizenga Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneur (Nova Southeastern University).
