The new ILA cassette player/recorder has some excellent improved features including a sleep switch that stops the tape at the spot where you fall asleep. The unit plays both 2 and 4 track cassettes and records 2 track cassettes. The user can listen to it with or without the comfortable headphones, which are included. Volume can be controlled using either the knob on the unit or one located on the headphone accessory. When at home, it can be plugged in using the AC adapter or when traveling, the 2 "AA" batteries (NI) power the unit. Other features are variable speed, tone indexing, a belt clip and easily identifiable buttons. Measures 5 3/4" x 3" x 1". You also can record over an existing recording.
