New Mexico artist Edward Gonzales is well known for his art depicting the Hispanic culture. His paintings and graphics are represented in a number of museum collections. He illustrated the award- winning children's book, "The Farolitos of Christmas" and its sequel, "Farolitos For Abuelo." (Rudolfo Anaya, Hyperion Books for Children/Walt Disney).



Part of Gonzales's artistic output includes images promoting education. A number of Gonzales's paintings are available as posters, such as "A Family Tradition." Gonzales' posters promote literacy, learning, cultural identity, and have motivational titles both in English and Spanish.
