Candace's paintings often originate from ballpoint pen sketches and then take the form of paintings or collages with a strong sense of color, mood, texture and pattern. A collector by nature, her personal archive consists of old postcards, vintage transistor radios, photography, puppets, dolls, folk art, and altars. She constantly surrounds herself with these and other things that she loves as she finds they help deepen the content and influence the visual quality of her work.
