Description

Built in 1813 as a wedding present for James Fairfield and Lois Walker, this stately mansion, now the Captain Fairfield Inn, sits proudly on the corner of Pleasant and Green streets overlooking the historic Kennebunkport River Green. A classic example of Federal-style architecture, the former sea captain's home now boasts nine luxurious guest rooms and several spacious elegant common areas. The grounds, surrounded by towering maple and elm trees, include manicured gardens, a lovely brick patio with comfortable wrought iron seating, and several private areas where you can relax and enjoy the sea air.
