The baseball is signed in blue ink on the "sweet spot" and is stored in a clear baseball container. ~~~~~~ Career Facts: On January 20, 1965, John was sent from Cleveland to Chicago in a three-way deal that also sent Rocky Colavito back to the Tribe; The Dodgers acquired John from the ChiSox for Dick Allen on December 2, 1971 at the Winter Meetings; The Yankees signed John as a free agent on November 22, 1978. John would win 43 games for the Yankees the next two seasons, but in 1981 he and the Bombers would lose to his old team, the Dodgers, in the World Series; At the September trade deadline in 1982, the Yankees sent John to the California Angels. He won four games in six decisions as the Angles snatched the AL West title; On June 5, 1985, the Angels released John, who a few days later signed with Oakland. At the end of the season he was re-signed by the Yankees.
