Description
You are bidding on a Brett Favre #4 Salvino's Bammer bear, an Officially Licensed Product of the NFL. The bear is tie-died with the number "4" stitched in the front and "FAVRE 4" stitched on the back in green. The Green Bay Packers logo is also on the front. The issue date of the bear is January 1999.
This future Hall-of-Famer has broken nearly all of the Packers' passing records, won a Super Bowl, and won three League MVP awards in a row. Brett has dominated in the nineties, and is still young enough to win many more titles and awards.
Brett became a starter in his third college game his freshman year at Southern Mississippi. He went on to break most of the school's passing records. Although he didn't play at a big name college, the scouts knew who he was and he was drafted in the first round by Atlanta. The Falcons didn't realize what they had, and traded Brett to the Green Bay Packers after he sat on the Falcon bench for a year. In 1992, Brett went from backup to Pro Bowler with the Packers in just three months. In 1995 he became only the third 4,000 yard passer in team history and won the first of his three consecutive NFL MVP awards. Favre has put up huge numbers for eight straight seasons. The highlight of his brilliant career has been 1997, the year Brett led the Packers to the Super Bowl title. He almost repeated in 1998, but was stopped just short of his goal when John Elway and the Denver Broncos upset the Pack.
