Both on and off the ice, receiving numerous awards and All-Starr status fro his outstanding play. On April 22, 1997, the Kings again turned to Taylor, appointing him the club's vice president and general manager. Solely responsible for the Kings hockey operations department, Taylor has implemented a long-term, 'build-from-within' player development strategy and plan, which has helped, make the Kings one of the model National Hockey League franchise.
