About Julia Carter

For Julia Carter, painting is a way to touch upon the humorous side of life. Her vibrant visual mementos trigger the mind to rejoice in the simple pleasures around us. Helen Keller said with such wisdom: "Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.". This philosophy becomes concrete in Julia's paintings. What she considers to be the ultimate compliment is when admirers report that their mood shifts to that of happiness when looking at her pieces.

Julia joined Tiger Lily Studios in 2003 as a contemporary artist. It occured because of one perfect moment in time. She happened to bump into a colleague one afternoon, who encouraged her to visit the studio. The studio was looking for another mate.

"I never imagined that being in such an amazing environment with such incredibly talented women would just fall into my lap. I think the only thing more wonderful are the dynamite personalities that came with each of these women with whom I share the creative space. I feel like the luckiest person in the world."

Tiger Lily Studios will reopen after losing their space during Hurricane Jeanne. The new location is downtown in the old Pocahontas Buildling.

Julia's paintings are on display at Java Junkies Coffee House at the Vero Beach Book Center.
