With one California exception, here is an opportunity to sample mature vintages of a wide range of Bordeaux wines. There are several examples of the quite good 1978 vintage and four bottles from the superlative 1982 vintage. Mature Bordeaux wines usually have less tannins than one finds in younger vintages and dried fruit flavors, with touches of cedar and leaves.
