In December 2002, Sky Financial Group, Inc. announced the appointment of Richard R. Hollington III, as Regional President of the Greater Cleveland Region, becoming the company's eighth region with the acquisition of Metropolitan Bank & Trust. Mr. Hollington will be leading Sky's expansion into the Cleveland market after the completion of that acquisition in the second quarter of 2003, the acquisition of Great Lakes Bank in the fourth quarter and in July of 2004 the acquisition of Second National Bank.


Prior to his appointment as Regional President, Mr. Hollington held the position of Corporate Director of Financial Services, having responsibility for Sky's financial service affiliates in trust, brokerage, insurance and private banking. Hollington has been an Executive Vice President of Sky Financial Group since 2000.


Mr. Hollington joined The Ohio Bank, now Sky Bank, in 1996. Between 1996 and 1998, he held several positions including Senior Vice President of Strategy, Sr. Vice President of Sales and Service Support, and Chief Operating Officer. After the merger of the Ohio Bank into Sky in 1998, Hollington held the position of integration director for Sky Financial Group to insure the smooth integration of the original mergers that created Sky.


Prior to joining the banking industry, Mr. Hollington worked for McKinsey & Company, an international management/consulting firm, from 1991 to 1996. His assignments ranged from strategy development to performance improvement initiatives. From 1986 to 1991, Mr. Hollington was a member of the corporate finance department of Cleveland-based McDonald Investments, working on public offerings, mergers & acquisitions and venture capital transactions.


He received his BA in Political Science from Williams College in 1986, and his MBA from the Darden Business School at the University of Virginia in 1991. He is a 1982 graduate of University School.


Mr. Hollington currently serves as member of the Cleveland MetroHealth System Board of Trustees. He is a member of the University School Board of Trustees. He is a member of the Cleveland Chapter of the Young President's Association. Mr. Hollington and his wife Sarah and their three sons live in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
