Paul Clark is president for the Northern Ohio region of National City Bank and an executive vice president of National City Corporation.


Mr. Clark began his career with National City Bank in 1976 as a management trainee in the Consumer Finance division. He was later promoted to vice president of National City Bank and named senior vice president of Corporate Banking in 1989, where he led the Cleveland area lending operation from 1992-1995.


From 1995-97, Mr. Clark served as executive vice president of Retail Banking at National City Bank of Pennsylvania. In this role, he led the integration of Integra Financial Corporation into National City's Pennsylvania bank. Mr. Clark was later named president and chief executive officer of National City Bank of Michigan/Illinois following the merger of National City with First of America Bank Corporation. In 2000, Mr. Clark was appointed executive vice president of Institutional Asset Management and chairman of National City Investment Management Company. He served in this capacity until being appointed to his current position in 2004.


Mr. Clark holds a bachelor's degree in history from Denison University and a master's degree in business administration from Baldwin-Wallace College. He is also a graduate of the Stonier School of Banking.
