Vermont Weekend for Two at the Old Tavern at Grafton

Description
A wonderful weekend for two at the Old Tavern at Grafton in Vermont. Grafton, Vermont, is home to one of New England's true treasures: The Old Tavern at Grafton. If ever there was a place to live the poet's words, this is it. The Old Tavern has a heritage that goes back as far as twelve years after America's independence.
Although The Old Tavern offers every amenity neccessary for your comfort, you won't find a telephone or a TV set in your room (we do have them, but located well out of sight and sound). The reason for this is simple. People come to Grafton and The Old Tavern to find what might be the two rarest commodities in today's unsettled world: peace and quiet. You may spend your time here relaxing in a world that is untroubled and calm, walking through woods marked by stone walls, reading without disturbance, playing cards, or just rocking on the porch with friends - old and new.
Our goal is to present contemporary food that is not only creative and fun, but also recognizable to both the first time diner and the seasoned traveler. While many items or terms may seem at first to be exotic or foreign, our service staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They are eager to explain ingredients, methods and sources in lay terms for any guest. We welcome you to come and explore our cuisine with us.
We will introduce seasonal menus at The Old Tavern to take full advantage of the Vermont Fresh Network, an organization that forges partnerships between Vermont farmers, food producers, and chefs to promote sustainable agriculture in Vermont. As a member of Chefs Collaborative, Chef Takei endorses and promotes the incorporation of seasonal, locally grown food and artisanal products for their exceptional flavors and unsurpassed quality.
