The winner of this auction item will have 200 pounds of books sent in his or her honor to the Jewish community of Nigeria. Includes bookplates. The attached photo is of Rabbi Howard Gorin of Tikvat Israel Congregation, in Rockville, Maryland, taken during his first visit to Nigeria, where he met with communal leaders. Here he is bestowing his blessings on a baby boy in the city of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Rabbi Gorin will be distributing the JPS books to the Nigerian Jewish community.
