Join a private tour of the Norman Leventhal Maps Collection on permanent display at the Boston Harbor Hotel, conducted by curator Alex Krieger. Alex is a principal of Chan Krieger & Associates, professor and former chair of the Department of Urban Planning and Design at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and editor of "Mapping Boston," which traces the growth of Boston from its founding to the present. The Leventhal collection is widely regarded as one of the finest private map collections in New England. It includes more than 50 maps depicting the 17th- and 18th-century coastline. Following the tour, you will be treated to High Tea with Alex at the Boston Harbor Hotel. The tour will include no more than 8 people, 4 people from the high bidder for this item and 4 from the high bidder from item number 228, below.

Special Instructions

Cannot be scheduled until June 1, 2006 due to removal of map collection for maintenance. The tour will include no more than 8 people, 4 people from the high bidder for this item and 4 from the high bidder from item number 228, below. Both groups will be scheduled together at a date reasonably agreeable to all parties. High Tea is available only from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
