Description

The 1998 Beaux Fréres Pinot Noir is
"a dense purple-colored wine with full body, and gorgeous black cherry aromas as well as flavors intermixed with spice, vanilla, and earth. The wine is powerful and dense, with moderately high tannin and monstrous extract. Along with the 1994, this is the most concentrated and backward Beaux Frères Pinot Noir. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2020."

The "1999 vintage Beaux Frères Pinot Noir has a saturated dark ruby/purple color to the rim. A surprisingly sweet, almost jammy nose of cola, black cherry liqueur, raspberries and blackberries."

"The winery's flagship wine, the 2000 Beaux Fréres Pinot Noir, is richer and fleshier than most 2000s, if not quite as ethereal as the 1999 or 1998. This one is beautifully balanced to focus its currant, blueberry and blackberry fruit on superfine tannins, finishing generous, round and spicy, with a delicate hint of oak. Drink now through 2007."
