Zachary White and Gino Borges call their book, Binge Thinking, a Different Kind of College Hangover, "an unofficial manual of the college experience". They believe that so much energy is put into getting kids into college these days, that once they get there, they can easily feel lost without a compass. Menlo parent Gail Kittler is hosting a lunch for up to 40 people so they can meet with Dr. Z. and Dr. G. at her house in Atherton on Tuesday, May 9, 2006. Both of the authors are willing to field tough questions about how to prepare students for what lies ahead in the college years.
