Description

The Lightsey Family, who owns Brama Island, have been ranchers in Florida since 1863 when they moved south from Georgia. The Lightsey brothers who currently manage Brama Island, are 6th generation cattlemen in Central Florida. Brama Island is noted for having an abundance of Bald Eagles. It has the perfect habitat for their survival.

The lodge is nestled in the middle of the largest fresh water island in the U.S. The lodge is a large rustic cypress cabin, which was used for a cow camp in earlier years. All linens, blankets, pillows and towels are provided. Southern home cooking is provided.

This package is for two people. Includes two days & one night, lodging, all amenitities, meals, a vehicle to ride around the island in, plus a guide to show unique areas of the island (like a 300 year old oak tree) There is a lot of bald eagles (14 nesting) on the island. Transportation to the island by boat or barge provided.

Special Instructions

Reservations can be made for anytime of the year, no deadline date. Coming during cooler weather will be more pleasant. Arrangements must be made directly with the Lightsey Cattle Company at 863-692-1013.
