Swim with the whales in this richly colored, seaside-inspired lamp. Deep blue water flows in graceful swirls on the base, punctuated by geometric whales in red and green. Bright blue waves lap the bottom of the shade, framing the "beach" on top in graduated shades of tan.
Originally from Western Canada, Jillian DeShazer moved to Frederick with her husband in 1998. Inspiration for "Where My Spirit Lives" came from West Coast Native and Inuit art that she grew up with. In native mythology, killer whales are seen as one of the many ancestral spirits who embody strength and speed, and also represent freedom. Jillian currently works as a graphic designer, and her usual medium is the "mouse."
