Description

Enjoy a two-night weekend stay at the Dayton Marriott Hotel, a full-service property with an indoor/outdoor pool located on the banks of the Great Miami River. Savor a turn-down gift featuring Dayton products such as delicious Esther Price chocolates, Mike Sells Potato Chips, Trophy Nuts and an adorable Wilbear aviator teddy-bear.

The aviation enthusiast will be enthralled learning about the history of Dayton's hometown heroes, Wilbur & Orville Wright, at the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park. This special package includes admission to four unique sites: the Wright Cycle Company, Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center; Paul Laurence Dunbar House; Wright Flyer III at Carillon Historical Park; and the Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center.

You'll learn more at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. This package includes tickets to the IMAX Theatre and to the Morphis Movie Ride Flight Simulator. This Museum is Ohio's most popular and most-visited attraction and features over 350 aviation displays from the Wright Brother's plane, the Air Force One Presidential Plane, to cruise missiles.

Drive the Dayton Aviation Trail which highlights landmarks throughout the Dayton and Miami Valley region. More than 45 sites are marked and include such famous destinations as the National Aviation Hall of Fame.

After the fabulous site-seeing satisfy yourselves with a meal at the regionally renowned Pine Club estaurant. Savor succulent steaks at this fabled restaurant which has hosted guests such as President George Bush (Sr.), and has been reviewed in national publications such as Forbes and Midwest Living.

The coup de grace is an actual flight in the Wright B Flyer, the first production aircraft ever built. Take to the air in the Wright "B" Flyer look-alike and physically experience some of the thrill the Wright Brothers must have felt in 1911 when they flew the Model B Airplane over Huffman Prairie just outside of Dayton.

And because we want you to have a memento to remember you time in Dayton, you'll also receive a Huffy "Mission" mountain bicycle (Huffy is a Dayton-based company). The Wright Brothers were bicycle builders and developed the important idea of wing-warping, which helped ensure their success as aviation pioneers, while building bicycles.
