Craig and Kathy Della Penna, both experienced bicyclists who have done extensive touring on rail trails, will welcome you to their cozy inn alongside the Northampton Rail Trail. Their recently restored 1865 Colonial home with Italianate characteristics was in 2003 awarded the City of Northampton's Historic Preservation Award and recently was featured in Yankee Magazine's 70th Anniversary "Best of New England" issue.
Special Instructions
You'll be taken on a leisurely, narrated bicycle tour of the existing and future rail trail network that radiates from Northampton. This day-long tour will take-in the right-of-way of four different former railroads -- Boston & Maine's Mass Central and Mt. Tom Branches and the New Haven Railroad's Canal Division and their Williamsburg Branch.
