Description

This auction is for a 1940s fireplace mantel with two adjoining glass-front cabinets. The mantle is a simplified design with arched interior opening. The cabinets feature adjustable shelves and glass-front doors. The whole assembly is constructed of solid pine and is constructed in four pieces. The assembly is in good shape, but it is missing some molding pieces that can be easily replaced. The cabinets are missing some clips for the adjustable shelves, and one of the shelves is slightly bowed. In addition, there is a hole for an electrical outlet in the middle of the top piece which measures approximately 2" X 4" for a light fixture. The mantle measures approximately 66" wide X 50" high X 14" deep. The fireplace opening measures 51" wide X 39" high at the top of the arch. Each cabinet measures 58 ½" wide X 50" high X 8 ½" deep.
