Description

This auction is for a 1920s Tudor style front door with original hardware removed from a house in River Oaks, Houston. Door is of solid wood construction, with a slight arch across the top and scored to look as if it were assembled from individual boards of wood. The door measures 40" wide X 80" high (to the top of the arch)and is approx. 2 ¼" thick. The door features a rectangular opening that was originally filled with leaded glass. Unfortunately, this glass piece is missing and the hole has been filled with plywood. Hardware is solid bronze, stamped to look like it was hand forged. The set includes: three oversized hinge straps, exterior handle with flipper, a deadbolt, lockbox, and screws. Interior knob is not included.
