This auction is for a hand-painted Russian Lacquer Box. Lacquer boxes are an old Russian craft. Each one is hand-made out of paper mache, then hand-painted. Each box can take several months to make. This box features a hand-painted scene of a bouquet of flowers with an ornate border. The outside is in excellent shape, but the paint on the inside is bubbling in spots. The box measures approximately 3.5" X 1.75" X 1.25". Box comes in its original packaging.
