This auction is for a hand-painted Russian Lacquer Box. Lacquer boxes are an old Russian craft. Each one is hand-made out of paper mache, then hand-painted. Each box can take several months to make. This box features a hand-painted scene of St Basil's Cathedral and a decorative border. The box is in excellent shape and measures approximately 2.5" X 3.5" X 1.5". Box comes in its original packaging and dates from the early 1990s.
