This auction is for a hand-painted Russian Lacquer Box. Lacquer boxes are an old Russian craft. Each one is hand-made out of paper mache, then hand-painted. Each box can take several months to make. This box features a hand-painted scene of a peacock and some flowers. The box is in excellent shape, and measures approximately 1.75" in diameter X 1" high. Box comes in its original packaging and dates from the 1980s.
