This auction is for a hand-painted Russian Lacquer Box that plays music. Lacquer boxes are an old Russian craft. Each one is hand-made out of paper mache, then hand-painted. Each box can take several months to make. This box features a hand-painted scene of a bouquet of flowers. The box is in excellent shape, but the music mechanism is currently jammed. The box measures approximately 4" X 4" X 2.5". Box comes in its original packaging.
