This auction is for a hand-painted Russian Lacquer Box. Lacquer boxes are an old Russian craft. Each one is hand-made out of paper mache, then hand-painted. Each box can take several months to make. This box features a hand-painted scene of three women. The box is in good shape with a few minor chips, and measures approximately 4 3/4" X 4 3/4" X 3 1/2". Box comes in its original packaging and dates from the 1980s.
