This auction is for a 1920s plaster ceiling medallion, originally from the Plaza Apartment Hotel designed by Joseph Finger. The medallion measures approximately 24" across with a 3" wide hole in the center and is of neoclassical design. Unfortunately, a piece is missing along the perimeter, but it could be repaired by making a mold of another section of the medallion and using it to cast the missing piece. There is some paint flaking off of the plaster, but other than that, the medallion is in relatively good shape.
