Edna, St. Vincent Millay (22 Feb. 1892-19 Oct. 1950), was born in the small town of Rockland, Maine, and graduated from Vassar.

Millay died in Austerlitz on October 19, 1950. A final collection of her verse appeared as Mine the Harvest in 1954.
In the front page of the book the words "To Virgie, with my love, Norma." Norma was Edna's sister and Virgie was said to be Norma's lover.
