Reproduction quillwork moccasins, custom-made to order by JoEsther Parshall, internationally renowned reproduction quillwork artist, whose works are on exhibit at the Peabody Museum and at Monticello for the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Commemoration. These all natural ankle-length moccasins are made with brain-tanned deerskin for the moccasin tops, are hand-stitched with sinew, and have durable rawhide soles. The Northern Plains geometric "Tipi" (triangular) design is embellished with naturally-dyed porcupine quills in red, yellow, dark blue and white in the Four Directions.
