Description
Yu-Wen Wu, a three-time recipient of the Massachusetts Cultural Council's Artist Grant (2004, 1998, 1989) and winner of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts' Traveling Scholars Award (1989), is a practicing visual artist whose recent body of work employs abstracted elements with drawn, painted, and photographic images that evoke the filmstrip, the Chinese scroll, and storytelling. Her work has been featured in solo exhibitions at Boston City Hall, Miller Block Gallery, Howard Yezerski Gallery (Boston), and Regina A. Quick Gallery (Olean, NY). Her work has also been featured in numerous group exhibitions throughout Massachusetts in university, museum, and gallery venues. In addition to her studio art training, Wu has an educational background in Neuroscience and Psychology.
