Description
Lisa Houck has been working as an artist in the Boston area for thirty years. In 1982 she founded the Tudor Street Etching Studio, a printmaking studio in Cambridge, MA. She works in a number of media including etching, watercolor, handmade paper, oil on wood, and mosaic. She has recently become involved in public art and is creating a 22' long mosaic mural for a new park in Boston, the Frieda Garcia Park. Other public art projects include paintings and a ceramic tile mural for the Senior Center in Cambridge and an eight-panel mosaic for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Houck received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 1975 and her MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston/Tufts University in 1989. Her work is in numerous corporate and private collections.
