Liz Marran's work explores a world of emotional intensity with the visual simplicity of reductive abstraction. Stream of consciousness patterns activate her creative process and surface into visually charged narratives about the human condition, entertaining a world that can be both playful and serious. Marran makes art that combines digital imaging with painting and prints. Represented by the OHT gallery in Boston, Liz Marran has work in a number of important collections in Boston such as the Fogg Art Museum, the Boston Public Library, and Fidelity Corporation. She is also a Professor of Art at the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
